About Us
HartzView Hunting Safaris is a family-run operation, which prides itself on an exceptional love and passion for nature, hunting, and conservation. The privately-owned, family-friendly hunting ranch is in a malaria-free area. It nestles between the Marokane hills of the North West province, west of Vryburg, and is approximately 110 miles from Kimberley
We are proud to offer fair-chase hunts on our 20 000-acre game ranch. Our ranch has diverse environments, from savanna grasslands to thickets and rocky hills. Providing some of the best quality trophy plains game and Cape buffalo, it is also home to 30 different species including sable, kudu, eland, gemsbok, and waterbuck of exceptional quality. Rifle, handgun, and bow hunting are available throughout the year, with nine permanent blinds.
Our facilities include luxurious accommodation in thatched-roofed, en-suite chalets. The chalets are spacious, air-conditioned, and serviced daily. You will be able to relax after a day of hunting next to a roaring fire, enjoying the open air, and listening to the nighttime sounds of Africa. During the day, your family can relax next to the swimming pool, enjoy a game of billiards or bird watching, with over 200 species documented. With HartzView Hunting Safaris you will enjoy mesmerizing sunsets and spectacular views from the hilltops.
Meals are prepared with African flair by our in-house chefs and can be enjoyed with a variety of world-renowned South African wines, as well as local beers and a variety of soft drinks.
Founder Braam van Greuning had the vision to incorporate sustainable hunting to ensure the conservation of the wildlife on his ranch. HartzView Hunting Safaris was established in 2010 after approximately 13 years of wildlife and environmental rehabilitation and has since been conducting quality hunting safaris at reasonable prices as well as numerous successful species reintroductions.

Today Ruan van Greuning is the proud owner and lead professional hunter of HartzView and has been following in his father’s footsteps to preserve this beautiful ranch. They are also actively involved in other conservation and community projects on their other concession based in the heart of the Kalahari.
